As part of The Coromandel’s Forever Good For Your Soul environmental programme, we have followed in the footsteps of Whitianga Run Fest and Pāuanui Half Marathon and removed single use cups from the event.
Think Water Whangamatā aid stations on course will still offer water and Torq electrolyte drink for you to fill your own reusable cup or hydration device.
Thanks to FuelMe we have a sharp deal on reusable collapsible cups available to purchase when you enter online, or at registration. If you’d rather not pause to fill a cup, you can bring your own drink bottle or hydration device.
If you’re looking to upgrade your hydration options - check out FuelMe’s great range of hydration vests and belts, soft flasks and hand-held hydration solutions. Use your training runs to trial hydration options.
Please check the following aid station information to ensure you are well prepared for the event.
Think Water Whangamatā 5km Aid Stations:
Cup Free Aid Station - 3.0km (Otahu Road)
Cup Free Finish Line - 5.0km (Williamson Park)
Thanks to FuelMe, refreshing Tangerine Torq Hydration Drink will be available at the Think Water Whangamatā Aid Stations on course. No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, TORQ Hydration Drink is one of the most thorough and effective hydration products on the market today.
The G. J. Gardner Whangamatā Half Marathon has partnered with the Forever Good For Your Soul environmental programme. Williamson Park is centrally located and within walking/biking distance of a high percentage of most homes and baches in Whangamatā; we encourage carpooling, biking or walking to the event. Limited vehicle parking will be available inside Williamson Park on a first in, first served basis. Once the grass reserve is full, parking is best in the surrounding streets. Please allow enough time.
