Matching the fast and simple course layout of the 10km course but entrants also head out on the 11km popular “Half Marathon only” out and back section using the walkway alongside the Whangamatā Golf Course and the peaceful country Wentworth Valley Road.
Ultimate Direction Cup Free Hydration Stations will offer water and electrolyte drink to fill your own reusable cup or hydration device - no single use cups will be provided.
Reusable collapsible cups are available to purchase when you enter online, or at registration. If you’d rather not pause to have your own reusable cup filled, you can bring your own drink bottle or hydration device.

There will be five Ultimate Direction Cup Free Hydration Stations on course at the approx km marks 4.7km, 7.4km, 10.5km, 14.2km and 19.2km marks. The finish zone Ultimate Direction Cup Free Hydration Station will have drinking fountains and bottle refill stations available.
Toilets will be available on course at the following km marks - 4.7km, 7.4km, 10.5km, 14.2km, 19.2km.
The G. J. Gardner Whangamatā Half Marathon has partnered with the Forever Good For Your Soul environmental programme. Williamson Park is centrally located and within walking/biking distance of a high percentage of most homes and baches in Whangamatā; we encourage carpooling, biking or walking to the event. Limited vehicle parking will be available inside Williamson Park on a first in, first served basis. Once the grass reserve is full, parking is best in the surrounding streets. Please allow enough time.
Gear Storage service will be provided by the Lions Club of Whangamatā at Williamson Park.
After 11.15am participants may be restricted from commencing and/or continuing on their second lap if their pace is unlikely to meet the final course cut off time of 12.15pm, and will adversely affect approved traffic management and marshal timelines.
