The Whangamatā Half Marathon (known as the Run/Walk Festival) has a long tradition of fundraising for the community. The Lions Club of Whangamatā continues to be the recipient charity, raising funds for many local initiatives, along with supporting core services.
The Whangamatā Half Marathon also provides fundraising opportunities to other community groups for providing marshals and managing hydration stations on the course.

The Whangamatā Half Marathon is committed to a path that honours our region’s sustainable reputation.
Provisional results for the 2026 event will be made available here on race day so all entrants can see where they finished overall and in their event categories.
